To all retired/ ex servicemen CSD has issued smart card. The purpose of which – ex servicemen can use this card for CSD facility anywhere in India in any CSD/URC.
The card is a unique card and shows all data for the person and the facility he has used irrespective of number of uses and place of use.
This was done to make the retired/ ex servicemen life easy who have served the nation.
But now the rule has changed. Now that person can only use canteen facility from the CSD from where the card was issued. No other canteen will allow that person for the facilities of canteen.
Which means the entire purpose of “Smart” is defeated and now the people who served the nation will face a difficult situation to avail the facilities of canteen.
There are lots of ex servicemen/ retired people who have changed their base after retirement and keep on changing places as part of resettlement jobs etc. This lot is seriously affected and lot more people too.
There may be a logical reason for making this decision, but the solution which is imposed is not amicable.
Why a person who has spent a good time of his life in serving the nation should suffer with some one’s decision which is not logical and seems to be not well thought.
I am sure there will be a huge number o f ex servicemen will be affected by some or other way because of this new rule of CSD facility.
Kindly raise this concern to the top – when we are in service we don’t pose any question of such restriction for our service to nation or do not ask anything about our postings irrespective of state and national borders, then why some of us in service posing these restrictions on our facilities, while the efforts should be to make our life easy.
